CRITERIA:

In order to apply for a Sachs Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship, applicants must fit the following qualifying criteria:

A Black high school student in their senior year

A full-time Colorado resident for a minimum of three years. Residence due to military orders in Colorado may be accepted on a case-by-case basis.

INSTRUCTIONS:

TO BEGIN YOUR APPLICATION, CLICK THE APPLY BUTTON TO THE RIGHT. YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO CREATE A LOGIN USING AN EMAIL AND PASSWORD

Applications will be available online through the link below between January 1st and March 15th of each year. As part of your application, you will be asked to submit the following, required materials:

Your full high school transcript
Two letters of recommendation from persons not related to you
Two personal statements (around 350-500 words each)
Your FAFSA Submission Summary - You can obtain your Submission Summary by filling out your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), if you haven't already done so at www.studentaid.gov

Please note: Completed applications, with all materials, must be received by the Sachs Foundation between January 1st and March 15th of each year. Recommendations will be sent out upon completion of your application and must be received by March 31st of the year you are applying. Applications submitted past the deadline will not be considered. Any incomplete or incorrect statement will directly impact any consideration of your scholarship application.

Students who are identified as a finalist for a scholarship will be notified by the end of April and will be required to attend a retreat/program June 8^th – 9^th in Colorado Springs prior to final approval of an award.
